Description
Oberon Clutch Slave Cylinder: Ducati [Fits Models Listed]
The Oberon Performance Clutch Slave Cylinder for Ducati motorcycles has proven to be the most reliable slave cylinder on the market. It is our highest-rated universal clutch slave cylinder, and has been designed to improve the performance and looks of the original Ducati cylinder. Oberon has substantially reduced the heaviness of the original clutch action, making aching arms and clunky gear changes a thing of the past. The internal piston design, seals and breather hole have been drastically enhanced to stop leaks and smooth out clutch action. Each slave cylinder is CNC-machined from billet aluminum for lightness, strength and precision looks. The 29mm piston size makes it much easier to find neutral while still having an easy clutch pull.
Adding this slave cylinder to the clutch of your Ducati will make you the master of finding the right gear. It comes in a choice of six bright colors that have been anodized with a protective layer to help prevent wear and corrosion. Everything you need for installation is included in this kit along with a conversion shaft for earlier Ducati's. Check the Documents tab for a Buyer's Guide that features a slave cylinder comparison to the EVR model plus an Install Instructions file. Motowheels will help you up-shift your bike's performance with our low prices and expert support on the most popular Ducati motorcycle parts.
Features:
-Smoother transition resulting in lighter clutch action
-Available in six anodized colors: black, blue, gold, red, silver and titanium
-CNC-machined from billet aluminum
-Repositioned breather hole away from chain and sprocket grime
-"U" seals for precision action
-Wiper seal to stop dirt ingress
-Shaft and dust sealed back
-Pre-2000 conversion spacer included
-Simple to install
-Stainless steel fasteners
-Lifetime warranty
Add the Motul RBF600 Racing Brake Fluid 0.5-liter when purchasing this Oberon slave cylinder for a significant savings over retail.
To ensure the longevity of your slave cylinder seals, start with a new throw-out bearing and change your throw-out bearing whenever you swap out clutch plates. Seized throw-out bearings are the number-one cause of slave cylinder seal-failure.
Note: This will not work on the new Mutlistrada 1260, Monster 1200 '20 model, Desmosedici or Panigale series

I replaced my old Evoluzione Clutch Slave cylinder with the OBERON Clutch Slave cylinder on my 02 998. The quality of the part is very nice. It installed with no hassles and reduced the the clutch lever pull effort. I have NO issues with clutch drag or finding neutral after the install. I would buy this product again.

I have a 2012 Streetfighter 848 and I had some troubles installing this. I sent an email and explained what was happening. After they called Ducati to see if this was going to work on my bike they then told me how to install this and every thing worked out well for me. What an improvement, and what customer service.

I needed to use the "pre-2000" extension rod despite having a 2000 M750. Without it, the piston would bottom out and the clutch would seize up. Works great afterwards though, and overall still a breeze to install. The lever pull is pretty noticeable. Also, the anodized red is a deeper red than the Ducati red, but it looks great either way.

The stock slave cylinder is garbage, they leak and never hold. These fit perfect and are really well made. It gave the clutch a much better feel. Riding in traffic is a lot better.

Fortunately I don't often get caught up in stop and go traffic often, but since installing the Oberon slave cylinder I no longer dread that occasion. Well, at least no concerns about hand or forearm cramps, just smooth engagement and acceleration. Stop and go traffic still sucks !
