Front Axle Titanium: 748-998/Mon/SS/ST

Save weight and prevent ovaling with this high quality lightweight 25mm titanium axle which fits 748, 916, 996, 998, late model SS, monsters, S4, S4R, MH900e, Multistrada and ST2/4/4S. Slightly thicker to prevent ovaling from overtightened pinch bolts (which is common on the OEM axle).

Titanium axles will decrease your unsuspended weight. Our axles are equal in strength to steel but the hardness is less. For this reason we offer the aerospace derived coating called Quadralloy. In past years, Teflon or Titanium Nitride was used for the coating but does not hold up to the punishment encountered from aggressive riding. Quadralloy increases the surface hardness and reduces the wear caused by the bearing contact point on the axle surface. By increasing the surface hardness wear is reduced.

This axle is a direct OEM replacement for the 1994-1998 916/916SPS/916SP, the 1999-2001 996/996S/996SPS ,the 1997-2002 748/748S/748SPS/748R, 996R and the 2002-2004 998/998S/998R front axle. This axle has been coated to bring the min UTS to 140Ksi (965Mpa).
