I was freaking out about the whole expanding tank issue, because after a few minutes, I'd have fuel pissing all over my exhaust. I was browsing the Motowheels website, and lo and behold, the answer to fixing it, without trying to get Ducati to warranty a tank, while I'm in Korea. Thanks Motowheels and Corse Dynamics!

A few days ago a package arrived from MotoWheels, inside was a sweet looking piece of billet made by Corse Dynamics, it is a Billet fuel pump base that I will be installing on my PS1000 race bike (also fits 848-1198, ect)
The base comes with quick disconnect METAL fittings, so finally I'm getting rid of the pain in the butt plastic fittings.
Installation was pretty straight forward, the only tricky parts are getting the fuel pump wires out of the base but with a little patients (which is hard for me) its not a big deal, you will need a couple things not supplied with the kit, 2 clips that hold the pressure regulator in, (I forget the proper name for the clip but I got them at a local nut/bolt store, the other thing is a clamp for the fuel hose as mine had a permanent type clamp that has to be cut off.
Its truly amazing how quickly the lines can be disconnected, just push the button and they pop right off, its truly a piece of art that works!!!
If you remove your tank with any regularity this is a must have part!!!
