Corse Dynamics Aluminum Coolant Tank V2: Ducati 748-916-996-998
This all aluminum water tank is a complete replacement of the factory part, just unscrew your factory cap and screw it onto this tank.
Tank has all OEM provisions for mounting accessories, and does not require any other modifications to be installed. This will eliminate all the issues with the OEM tanks leaking. The pins attached are flexible and if bent, they can be re-adjusted.
Features CNC billet aluminum nipples and CNC billet aluminum filler neck.

Very Important: Some of These tanks may come with minor fine marks/scratches which is typically associated with how the aluminum sheets are supplied from the manufacture prior to the tanks being built. This is a functional part and mostly hidden anyway, so it does not play a role as a cosmetic piece!

•How does it mount?
The exact same way as the OEM tank, sandwiched between the headstock, trellis frame, and air box. Since this product is completely CNC machined we have complete control of size ensuring perfect fitment in the frame.
•Does it have a sight glass?
The short answer is no, there is no external viewable window, there is the cap that easily removes to view the fluid, since this tank doesn’t leak like the factory one there is no need to daily monitor the fluid level.
•What is the tank constructed of?
The entire tank is constructed of 6061-T6 billet aluminum. The body of the tank is one main sheet formed to fit perfectly into the frame, and then a machined tube is welded in the front for headstock clearance. All hose barbs & cap housing are manufactured in house from 6061-T6 aluminum aswell to ensure good quality material for welding & fitment. Since we used the highest quality material and the least possible welds on the tank we are positive this is the last tank you will ever need to replace.
•What is the difference in weight?
The OEM plastic tank stripped weighs 0.75 lbs, the Corse Dynamics aluminum tank weighs 1.00 lbs.

I purchased this from Motowheels more than a year ago. It does not leak, and I don't worry about bursting like with the OEM. One suggestion to make this better would be a sight glass in order to monitor the coolant level. I have to move the tank back, remove the cap, and use a flashlight in order to see if I have the right level or not. It's a little bit of a hassle, but the added security of not having the coolant tank burst while riding in the middle of nowhere is way worth it.
