Overall, I really like this product, the build quality is amazing and it completely transforms the ergonomics of the Monster into something way more comfortable for me personally. Besides a few snags on the install the rearsets are great.

Here's the problems I ran into during the install:
While this part is listed to fit the smaller Monsters without a single sided swingarm, there are some fitment issues. The main issue that I encountered involved the master cylinder for the rear brake. The OEM position for the master on the small Monsters is to the front of the foot controls, this rearset kit moves the master cylinder to the rear of the foot controls. Besides the problem of lengthening and routing the brake reservoir line for the rear master cylinder, the new location of the master cylinder hits the exhaust. I thought that I would be in the clear of this problem because the listing recommends that you move to a high mounted exhaust to eliminate having the exhaust mount to the factory scaffolding controls and I already had an up pipe and high mount exhaust on the bike. I do think that this may just be a problem for my specific bike though because it's an older Fast by Ferracci exhaust circa about 2007 and all of the pictures of this rearset on a Monster with up pipes and a high mounted exhaust showed Termignoni systems which look like it has a less aggressive upsweep compared to the system I have. To solve this problem, I had to space out the controls roughly 30mm (1.25 inches) from the chassis. I used some old billet spacers that I had from working on my car and some Grade 10.9 hardware to try and make sure the bolts don't break. The only other problem that I ran into is heat management. Because of the proximity of the master to the up pip, I was worried about the rubber reservoir line getting burned through and the brake fluid boiling, burning boot soles and pants was a worry as well. This rearset does not come with an exhaust shield like some of the other Ducabike rearsets so I ended up wrapping the up pipes from the Y pipe to the slip-on with header wrap. As an extra measure I ended up heat sleeving the brake lines as well. So far, I havent run into any problems with the rear brake fluid overheating and the boot warmer is a welcome addition for the rainy Washington riding I do.

Although the install did not go as smoothly as planned and modifications did have to happen to get the parts on the bike, I was kinda expecting it. The only real complaint that I have for these rearsets is that it deletes the rear brake light switch. This means that the brake light no longer lights up when you use the rear brakes. Other than that small complaint though, it's a great product!
