Don't get your foot caught in a minor lowside. Get better shifts and positioning.

In the original shift pattern, if you down shift into a left hand turn, you run a higher chance of catching a toe, or the shift lever on the ground- which increases your chances for a low side. With the GP shift pattern you are now pulling the shifter up and away from the pavement, and decreasing your chances of catching anything on the pavement. On a straight away, its a lot easier to pound down on the gears.

The direct shift with out the linkage is much more positive as well with no slop.

The adjustable reverse lever bolts on in place of the OE standard shift linkage. 6000 series billet aluminum construction. Replacement for DP, FBF, Motowheels or Cycle Cat rear sets. Also fits with the OEM rear sets.

Note: It takes about three weeks to get used to the reverse shift if you have never tried it before. Try to short shift and put the foot on top of the lever. This will help you break the old habits. It also helps if you convert your other bikes to reverse shift.

The fairing limits how low you can adjust the shift lever. When using the stock rear set assembly, some people find the position awkward (the shifter feels too high). In these cases, we recommend the higher aftermarket rear set assemblies.
