SPEEDYMOTO Frame Sliders: Monster 1200/S/R, 821

The SpeedyMoto frame slider kit includes extremely durable 17-4 stainless steel engine studs. Precision-ground, thread-formed, quenched and tempered to an aircraft grade tensile strength of 185,000 psi, our stud far surpasses OEM specs (as well as other manufactures) in both strength and wear-ability.

We employ stainless steel for the integral engine nuts and slider support, not unlike the high-strength engine bolts used by Ducati race teams. Corrosion resistant and strain-hardened stainless steel is ideal for the crucial applications of holding your motor in, supporting the entire chassis, and providing a reliable platform for the actual slider.

SpeedyMoto uses Ultra High Molecular Weight (UHMW) plastic for the slider puck. Unlike other plastics, the unbelievably low friction coefficient of this plastic makes it practically glide on the pavement. By using this material the risk of 'grabbing' is reduced, avoiding turning a smooth low side into the dreaded catastrophic high side.

I had these on my Monster 821, which was recently sold. These are really nice; the metal is well machined, all parts are sturdy, and the plastic ends are durable and may be a bit safer in some instances. Follow the directions and start with the left, which has the depression in the rod. Whatever you do don't take both sides off at the same time! If there is any problem threading the rod in, try slightly lifting from the underside of the engine. Highly recommended.
